- DEA Certificate
Identify availability and geographic area you'd
like to be in.
Employment Opportunities:
A medical recruiter will contact you with anesthesia
job opportunities. When a suitable assignment has
been found, you will be presented to our client.
NOTE: No Anesthesiologist is presented to
a client without his or her prior authorization
and availability information.
Acceptance of Assignment:
Once both parties are in agreement, you will be
sent a contract. Each contract is for a particular
Locum Tenens job assignment and details the client,
location, coverage dates, salary and any other special
needs. All Locum Tenens Anesthesiologists are independent
contractors. National Anesthesia Services
recommends that you speak with your accountant or
financial advisor regarding taxes and other issues
related to this status.
Credentialing:

National Anesthesia will provide the necessary
paperwork to help obtain staff privileges at our
client's facility. It is essential that the completed
paperwork be returned in a timely fashion.
Invoice/Time Sheets:

- Locum Tenens Anesthesiologists must have their
invoice signed by an authorized client representative.
- Submit a copy of the invoice to the client and
National Anesthesia.
- The invoice should reflect hours worked plus
any reimbursable expenses.
- Anesthesiologists are reimbursed on a weekly
or bi-weekly basis. Accuracy on your invoice is
extremely important.
